I was up bright and early for a nice 3 mile sunrise run, ran back home, we loaded up all the bikes and were off to the El Paso Skate Park. We've learned there's an optimum time from 5:30 am to 8:15 an you can actually spend outside. By 8:30 it has all ready crept up to 98 degrees. Stan and Mary's digital thermometer (that's in the shade of the house) actually read 105.6 degrees today!!!! Anyways, back to the Skate Park....we were so thankful to Mary for watching the boys every morning we have them a nice quiet morning to themselves. The boys had so much fun!
All 3 Schettler boys were in hog heaven! Cole has become quite a bike rider!!!! You can check out his mad skills here:

We then rode/walked over to the dirt box track! Fun!!!
Aren't they the cutest?!?! We caught a runner to take a family picture for us.
By this point, the thermometer had probably crept up to 95. Cole, Carson, and I went to the playground while Curtis rode the dirt trails a little longer. We packed up the bikes and headed home to pick up Stan and Mary for McDonalds breakfast. I have to say, the egg white McMuffin is pretty tasty. The kids payed for about an hour, then we headed back to the house for some final cuddles with Miss Cookie.
This little guy is really going to miss Cookie on our trip. He loves her so much, and she is quite possibly the sweetest puppy in the world. I know she'll be in good hands with Grandma and Grandpa Schettler while we're away. After an afternoon of packing, laundry, and naps, we headed for the local Peter Piper Pizza for dinner and play.
After the boys played and played, we headed back home to load up the car. It's down to a science....4 suitcases, 5 bins each filled separately for: food, toys, necessities, sheets/lifejackets, and bike stuff, 4 pillows, comforter, lovies, 4 bikes, oh yeah, I can't forget my ipads/bag o exercise crap....very important! The whole thing fits like a glove, and we can even see out all windows!!!
Tomorrow, we drive! ETD....5:00 am El Paso time....only 720 miles to San Diego! Thank God for minivans with DVD players!
