There's No Place Like Home

Day 30 - Monday, July 15th

I wish I could put on sparkly red slippers, click my heels 3 times and say,

"There's no place like home,
There's no place like home."

Alas, we had the longest drive yet ahead of us today.  My alarm was set for 4:00 am, but I was restless all night thinking about the giant task at hand.  I decided to finally get up at 3:30....might as well get this dreadful day going early as possible.  We loaded up the kids and crap and were on the road by 4:00 am.

We hit Amarillo at 11:00, and had allready driven 360 miles.  We stopped at the local McAlister's Deli, the boys favorite, and hit the road again.  On the way, our trip topped 6,000 miles.

When it was all said and done, this final leg was a 740 mile drive.  6,050 total miles around the country.  The boys were so amazing!  I love them so much, and will never forget these incredible memories.  We have loved every stop on this fantastic driving extravaganza, but there truly is "No place like home."
