We ate a nice breakfast on the ferry at the recommendation of Great-Grandpa. The boys loved the ferry ride, and our Truck/Camper with the 18 wheeler in front of us took up 75% of the parking.
We departed the ferry and set across the very northern part of the United States for North Cascades National Park.
First stop Visitor Center for lunch and Junior Ranger badge.
We are very serious with our Junior Ranger badges. Stop #2 Diablo Pass.
The waters of the Skagit River were so teal and beautiful! By this point, Carson was DONE with driving and lookouts. He just wants to get to the Floathouse.
We drove another two hours through North Cascades to a little cowboy town of Winthrop where we stopped for a pizza dinner at East 20 Pizza, then pulled into our camping spot at the little family Silverline RV Resort 13 hours after we left Olympic. These are SLOW mountain roads. It took us 13 hours to drive 270 miles. We sat out, played frisbee, football, and hit the sack. Tomorrow.......FLOATHOUSE!!!!!!!
