We promised the boys climbing time, so we woke the up super early because we knew once the sun peaked the temps we're going to rise quick.
Sure enough, we went from sweaters to long sleeves to tank tops in about 5 minutes.
We were definitely not dressed for the cold mountain temperatures. We went from a high of 103 in the desert to a high of 50, low in the mid 30s in a matter of hours. God certainly has a creative mind when creating this incredible planet.
Wow!!! We drive the windy road up the Giant Forest to our campsite in Lodgepole Campgroubd in the middle of Sequoia National Park, unhitched, and the boys immediately sought off on their bikes to meet some friends.
Success, the nicest family was camping across the path from us with two kids, 1st and 3rd grade! Carson rode his little bike up to them and said "Hi, do you want to be friends?" 😊. So sweet! They rode bikes til sundown and we are smores with them, then hit the hay.
Day 8 - We woke up early for a quick breakfast then went off on our adventure to find General Sherman, the largest living object on Earth!
For some perspective, we learned that General Sherman is equal to 10 blue whales in weight!
We met back up with our new friends for an evening of games and smores!
