Hawaii 4-0!!!

Day 1:  Mele Kalikimaka, we’re headed to Hawaii for Curtis’s 40th Birthday!!!!!

9 hours later, we land in beautiful Honolulu, Oahu!

After a quick grocery stop, we pulled up to the incredible beautiful Beach Villas in Ko Olina!

We are so grateful to Oma and Opa Post for offering our family a week at their amazingly beautiful penthouse condo in Ko Olina to celebrate our awesome Daddy!

We started with a tour of the grounds, then headed upstairs to the amazing view!

A quick change and we were ready for our walk on the lagoons to Longboards for sunset dinner on the patio!

Yes!  This is one happy crew!

We feasted on Ahi Tuna Poke Bowls and soaked in the sunset!

Aloha, Y’all!!!

Day 2:  We all managed to stay up until 8 pm, but we up around 3:30 am.  Carson and Mommy sat out on the lanai, and watched the storm roll in the distance.  After a bit of time, we read a book, and played a game of Sorry.....all before 5:00am.  When the sun rose, we were ready for our morning walk around the lagoons starting with a walk around the Aulani and 4 Seasons.

Yep, those are the Schettler boys in their bright green swim shirts....running, running, running!  We even got a shot of “the Mouse” himself!

We hit the ABC Market for Dole Whip and headed back before the storms began.  This was the scheduled day for our Whale Watching, but the lightning and storms caused our trip to be cancelled.  In true Schettler form, we decided to make the most of our first full day in Hawaii, so instead we headed to the North Shore for Giovanni’s Famous Shrimp Food Truck!  It was an hour drive and over an hour wait, but well worth the hype!!! Yum!!!

We have a new shrimp lover in the Schettler family, so he was super excited about our feast!

Carson was happy with his giant hotdog and fresh shaved ice!

We even made a stop at Waiamea Bay for beach time to watch the surfers in the rain with Grandma singing the “Waiamea Bay” song in the background.

And see the chickens?!

Our spontaneous day of fun ended with beachtime at the lagoon....in the rain!  The boys loved it, and we had the lagoon all to ourselves.  Since the outside air was a little cooler, the water was super warm!  They played and played and boogie boarded until it was dark.

Tomorrow, we are up bright and early for Pearl Harbor!  Mahalo!
