On to Glacier

Day 13 - the alarm went off at 5:00 am, and we were off to our next venture.  We decided to go through Mammoth Hot Springs instead of West Yellowstone because we had not yet made it up there yet.  3 miles north of Norris we realized we made the WRONG decision when the road was completely tore up and we were towing the Casita less than 15 mph on a dirt road.  Yes, even the bison was passing us.

We pulled up to Mammoth Hot Springs 1.5 hours after we left Canyon, took one quick picture of the cascading hot springs and headed north to Glacier.

Note to self:  when leaving a National Park always ask the Rangers if any roads are under construction.

Right as we were leaving, Willie Nelson's "On The Road Again" popped on to the PrimeCountry Serius XM station.  We had been waiting 2500 miles to hear that song, and we were off again.  450 miles later we were pulling up to Glacier National Park.

The last time Curtis and I were here was summer 2007 when Cole was a little bean in my tummy, and it was as beautiful as I remember.  We found our beautiful campsite right on Lake McDonald at C106 in Fish Creek changed into our suits and hit the water for play.

It's a great day to be alive.
You know the sun's still shining when I close my eyes
Why can't everyday be just this good?

Day 14 - Today, we slept in, went to a 10:00 am Junior Ranger hike,

earned our Jr. Ranger badges, napped, and swam at the lake.

Relaxation!

Day 15 - after our relaxing day yesterday, we were ready to go!  The alarm went off at 5:00 am for our winding drive up to Logan Pass on the Going-to-the-Sun Road.  We passed these awesome cyclists on our way up.  They're my Heros!

When we pulled up, we were greeted by a big horn ram in the parking lot.

We were so excited to take the 3 mile hike up to Hidden Lake through the glaciers.

It was so beautiful to see the glaciers and flowers blooming!

On our way up, we were greeted by a family of mountain goats!

Hidden Lake Overlook was absolutely as beautiful as I remember!

Breathtaking!

We hiked all the way back down and took the very windy road back to the campsite.  Glacier is famous for their old shuttled that travel all over the park.

After our hike, we headed back to the campsite for lunch and naps, then the boys were ready to go again!  We hit Apgar Village and rented a canoe for an hour.  So much fun!!!

It only took 3000 miles to get here and it was worth every second.  I absolutely LOVE Glacier National Park!
